Firstly, appologies for the slightly lousy photo, the light in my house is appalling and my housemate's not great with my shitty camera.
Anyway. This is my Eddie Scissorhands outfit which I wore to the Intrusion [link] fancy dress competition last night and won the prize! I get to pick my choice of boots from [link] thanks to the lovely lovely DJs Doktor Joy and Bookhouse who are both fabulous and lovely and generous and have great taste in music. Teeheehee.
Right. The hands themselves took four hours each to make, they're made from aluminium, cardboard, sawn off bits of scissors, hinges, cogs, washers, bits of wire, duck tape and hot glue. The corset took about four hours (and thanks to my lovely lovely friend Georgie for helping me out with it and wrapping me up in duck tape on Thursday night) and is made of duck tape, string, grommets, buttons and studs. The hair and makeup took two hours (I know it looks very blotchy in this pic, the light doesn't pick up the fake scars too well).
Um that's about it really.
Injuries sustained while making this costume: burns on my right index finger from hot glue, and a very large gash in my left middle finger thanks to me being clumsy with my swiss army knife. Mmmmyep.
